About Wacky Scott
Wacky Task Buddy, was founded by Scott “Wacky” Robertson… Me… I have combined type ADHD, which includes various struggles with memory, follow-through, choosing priorities, time-blindness, and even balancing my bank account. I also have an ongoing battle with anxiety often a magnification of chasing perfection and magic bullets, not to mention battling obesity. Thus I know and understand firsthand the struggles ADHD and anxiety cause.
Professionally I have worked for over 22 years as a freelance Web Developer, Technical Project Manager, and Technical Consultant. The majority of my professional life has been working from home, doing my own taxes (or screwing up & getting audited and owing over 15k in taxes), learning and struggling to run my business of one, and figuring out by the school of hard knocks how to hire and outsource various tasks. As part of this I have managed a few custom web projects that spanned years and cost over $150,000.
I live with my three-legged chihuahua Jack-Jack. I believe he is named after the baby in the movie “The Incredibles”. He is my sweet little munchkin who ensures I get out of the house for his hour walk every day & keeps my days full of excitement and love.
We live in a small rural northern Nevada town. We love the solitude, the slower pace of life, and not feeling judged (as much as in the big city).

So where am I getting with all this? Why did I start Wacky Task Buddy... It is the tool, the service, and the community I have always been searching for. The closest thing to a magic bullet that exists, is a community where we help each other stay on track, and support each other with understanding and respect. A “family” we do not want to let down, especially those friends we make while working on our own projects. A kind of mastermind group where our struggles, crazy ideas, and emotional challenges are understood. A place where our questions get answered, and we learn new ways to improve our methods of getting by and getting things done. The struggle is real, and nothing will eliminate it, but by having many “Wacky Task Buddies” we can feel validated and like our challenges have been eased. We can succeed!
